Our very own Ergo-Innovation Program™ (EIP) was designed to help our clients confronted with difficult lifting challenges to purchase tailor-made solutions within reasonable time delays at fair cost. We’ve come to realize that the program has the added benefit of protecting our clients from the lesser know provisions of Bill C-45 that provides much needed added protection for workers.
Bill C-45 clearly spells out that Management and employees can now be personally held criminally responsible in the event of serious worker accidents. The Bill provides for sentences that can be lifetime with fines that can reach the $100,000 mark and these can be imposed upon individuals. Businesses now need to be 100% certain that their people are properly trained before starting to operate lifting equipment, that the equipment is absolutely well maintained, that inspections are indeed carried out in a timely manner and that the documentation is up-to-date and readily available. That’s not always the case and our program helps companies purchase better and safer equipment, train their people appropriately and properly maintain and document the whole upkeep process.
