Location Plafolift has historically played a key role in the development of small and medium size equipment rental centres in Quebec. We were the first and only ones to innovate by proposing a risk-sharing model to help our clients capitalize the acquisition of motorized aerial work platforms.
Our approach to relationship management was truly unique in that we made a large number of aerial work platforms available to rental outlet proprietors under a unique consignment model. As they got to know our products and as their customers started demanding equipment with our Plafolift brand name, we sold more and more machines. In certain markets, Plafolift has actually become the generic name in its product category.
This business model has evolved at Location Plafolift. Today, we still maintain a sizeable fleet of aerial work platforms for lease to our loyal customers to help them deal with fluctuating demand in the construction industry. We lease our equipment exclusively to equipment rental centres.
